Sewing Circle

Carlisle United Church Sewing Circle
The original purpose of this project, which started in March 2020, was to create cotton face masks to protect vulnerable people during the COVID-19 emergency. There are many seamstresses and quilters among us, with materials, talents and time. This is something we can do to help others.

The project has since expanded to include scrub caps with buttons, hospital gowns, eye sleep masks and scrub bags (all requested by health care staff).

All of our creations have been donated to needy organizations and individuals without charge. We are very grateful to the many generous people who have donated sewing supplies (cotton, buttons, bedsheets, etc.) or cash donations to Carlisle United Church, to enable and support our project. Thank you all!
